Who we are

Call the Painters is a Hamilton-based painting service operated by Andre Lingman. We work as a service-area business across Hamilton, Hauraki, Waipa and Waikato. For privacy questions, access requests or corrections, contact us using the details below.

What we collect

When you request a quote or contact us, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, property or job address, preferred contact method, expected timeframe, enquiry details and any photographs you choose to upload.

If you request our Painter Gear guide, we collect the email address needed to send it. We do not add that address to a marketing mailing list.

Our website and security services may also collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referral information, form-security signals and website interaction events. Google Analytics is configured not to receive names, contact details, addresses, enquiry text, photographs or PaintBoss identifiers.

Why we collect and use it

• To respond to your enquiry and communicate with you.
• To understand the property and prepare, discuss or follow up a quote.
• To organise painting work if you choose to proceed.
• To send information you specifically request about Painter Gear.
• To protect the website and forms from spam, fraud and misuse.
• To understand general website performance and improve our services.
• To keep business, tax, safety and legal records where reasonably necessary.

Project photographs submitted with an enquiry are used to assess and manage that enquiry. We will not use them in advertising, social media or our public portfolio without separate permission.

Who receives or processes it

Information is available only to Call the Painters personnel who need it and to service providers that help us operate the business:

• PaintBoss, our business management system, receives contact-form enquiries and photographs so we can manage the lead and prepare a quote.
• Email providers, including our business mail server and Gmail forwarding, process owner notifications, customer confirmations and replies.
• Our website host and Cloudflare deliver and protect the website. Cloudflare Turnstile checks form submissions for automated abuse.
• Google Analytics provides aggregated website usage and conversion reporting with advertising personalisation and Google Signals disabled.
• Professional advisers, insurers or public authorities may receive relevant information where reasonably required or required by law.

Some technology providers may process information outside New Zealand. We select and configure providers for the business purpose involved and limit the information we send. We do not sell your personal information.

Providing your information

Using the website is voluntary. The quote form marks the details needed to respond and assess the work. If you do not provide them, we may be unable to prepare or follow up your quote. Photographs are optional.

Storage, security and retention

We use access controls, encrypted connections, spam protection, restricted server storage and private business systems to protect personal information. Website enquiry records and sanitised photo copies are held in a private delivery queue only until the owner email, customer confirmation and PaintBoss delivery have completed.

Enquiries, quotes, correspondence and job records may then remain in PaintBoss and email for as long as reasonably needed to provide the requested service, manage a customer relationship, resolve disputes and meet tax, insurance or other legal obligations. When information is no longer reasonably required, we will delete it or make it non-identifying where practicable.

Analytics and cookies

Google Analytics uses cookies or similar technologies to report how visitors use the site and whether useful actions occur, such as accepted enquiries and phone, email or quote-request clicks. Cloudflare may use necessary security data to operate Turnstile and protect the form. You can restrict cookies in your browser, although some security or form features may not work correctly.

Your privacy rights

You may ask whether we hold personal information about you, request a copy, or ask us to correct information that is wrong. Contact us with enough detail to identify the relevant record. We may need to confirm your identity before releasing or changing it.
